Internal Security Forces reveal Turkish attacks toll on North and East Syria and Syrian Democratic Forces respond; international commendations for Turkish attacks
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Following the barbaric Turkish attacks on civilian and vital facilities in North and East Syria, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) revealed the Turkish bombing toll, which included the martyrdom of 12 civilians, including 2 children and the injury of 27 others, including a child.
The ISF statement confirmed that Turkish Army bombed dozens of service facilities and populated villages in North and Eastern Syria.
The statement pointed to targeting silos and a civilian facility in Zalin (Qamishli). Furthermore, the Odeh oil field in the countryside of Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah) was bombed 6 times in a row, and the Saida oil station was targeted 3 times.
The Babasi oil station was bombed 5 times in a row, in addition to targeting a fuel station.
In Amuda, the Turkish drones targeted the power station and a bakery there.
In Dayrik (Malikiyah/Derik), the Swedia gas facility was targeted twice, and the oil fields in Rmelan were shelled 7 times.
Villages of Tel Tamer in the countryside of Hasakah were targeted by more than 70 artillery shells and 15 mortars.
Villages in Ayn Issa in the countryside of Raqqa and Al-Shahba in the countryside of Holeb (Aleppo) were also targeted.
In Kobani, the power plant, a bakery and a feed warehouse were bombed.
In response to these attacks, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the implementation of 2 operations against the Turkish bases, in the countryside of Zerkan, south of Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn).
The 2 operations resulted in killing and injuring Turkish-backed elements, SDF reported.
In related news, Israeli Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is slaughtering the Kurds, amid international silence.
Doctors Without Borders stated that the escalation in North and East Syria will lead to a worsening of the socio-economic situation, expressing its concern about targeting civilian infrastructure.
“This escalation will severely affect people’s access to basic services,” it added.
