October martyrs remembered in Zalin, North and East Syria
ZALIN, North and East Syria — The Martyrs’ Families Council in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, held a memorial event honoring 150 martyrs from the Self-Defense Forces (HXP/GSSY), Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Internal Security Forces (ISF), and the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro).
The event was attended by the families of the martyrs, representatives from the Martyrs’ Families Council, and institutions of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAANES). The gathering began with a minute of silence to honor the souls of the martyrs.
Jawaher Othman, a member of the Women’s Council within the Martyrs’ Families Council, welcomed attendees and paid tribute to those martyred in October over the years in various locations. “Continued struggle is the strongest response to the enemy,” she remarked.
The event concluded with a reading of the martyrs’ documents, which were then handed over to their families amidst chants honoring the martyrs’ sacrifices and pledging to carry on their legacy.
