Christian Front in Lebanon demands implementation of UN resolutions

BEIRUT — The Christian Front in Lebanon called on the Lebanese parties, MPs, forces and sovereign authorities to adhere to the implementation of UN Resolution No. 1559 to withdraw the weapons of pro-Iranian Hezbollah and all other militias and hand it over to the Lebanese Army.

The Front confirmed that this weapon destroyed Lebanon, as well as killed and abandoned its people, and put Lebanon among failed states.

“The existence of this weapon is no longer acceptable. This weapon did not protect the south and Lebanon as it was claimed by those who carried it for many years. On the contrary, it was used to isolate Lebanon and tighten control over the central state,” the Front stated.

The Front declared that the international conferences and settlements held for Lebanon are useless, especially if they do not emphasize the need to implement UN Resolution No. 1559.

“This situation will push to the declaration of the Republic of Free Lebanon,” it added.

The Front also warned of the Hezbollah suspicious movement in Christian areas, including weapons storage, barricades in some shelter centers, hiding among civilians, attempts to control private property by force of arms and sectarian sedition in order to compensate for its loss.

The statement called on the Lebanese Army and the security forces to stand up to Hezbollah criminal acts which may lead to a civil war.
