HASAKAH, North and East Syria — In a vibrant literary gathering attended by Syriacs (Arameans–Assyrians–Chaldeans) and literature enthusiasts from various communities, the Syriac Cultural Association’s Hasakah branch hosted a literary evening on Friday at its headquarters in the Nasrah neighborhood.

The event, which began at 4:30 PM, featured poets and writers Musa Hanna Issa and Hana Daoud, who shared a selection of their poems and literary works. A special reading of the story Ayyub Lulu was also presented, accompanied by musical and vocal performances that added to the evening’s cultural ambiance.

Representatives from the Beth Nahrain National Council in Hasakah, alongside members of Arab and Kurdish cultural institutions, joined in celebrating the evening’s rich array of literature and music. The association aims to foster the cultural and literary scene by supporting Syriac writers and poets and providing a welcoming platform for cultural and artistic expression.
