Federation of Syriac Associations in Turkey recalled martyrs of Bethnahrin National Council

TUR ABDIN, Turkey — The Federation of Syriac Associations in Turkey (Süryani Dernekler Federasyonu, SÜDEF) held an event to remember the martyrs of Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people and the national struggle.

The event began by a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs.

Then, the MUB statement which commended the martyrs’ sacrifices was read.

The organizers of the event stated that the struggle for the freedom of Syriac people continues due to the sacrifices.

This was clear via a speech delivered by the SÜDEF President Evgil Türker who touched on the importance of martyrdom and martyrs’ sacrifices for the future of Syriac people.

Türker also glorified the meaning of martyrdom and commended the value of MUB martyrs’ blood to achieve the national rights of Syriac people.
