Syriac Youth Union continues to support displaced Christians in Mount Lebanon
BEIRUT — In cooperation with the Syriac Cross and Schlomo Relief and Development Organizations in Europe, the Syriac Youth Union continues its humanitarian efforts to support the displaced Christians from the border villages of southern Lebanon.
The daily aid includes food and living supplies to displaced people living in monasteries and schools in the Mount Lebanon area.
The Union Head Leila Latte and Secretary of Union Social Affairs Joseph Hajjar visited the Syriac Melkite Catholic Patriarchate in Rabwah to provide food, cleaning supplies and drinking water, as well as winter clothing for women, children and men.
Latte and Hajjar thanked the Syriac Cross and Schlomo Organizations, as well as the Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people in Europe for their continuous support, stressing the importance of solidarity for survival in the homeland.
Such initiatives come to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people, amid their dire conditions.
