Chaldean Patriarch Sako calls for including 100,000 Christians residing in neighboring countries in Iraq’s population census
ERBIL, BAGHDAD — The general population census in Iraq approaches after a halt of 37 years.
Due to the census population great importance, Chaldean Patriarch Mor Louis Raphael Sako called on Christians to actively participate in it.
Sako stressed that this census should include thousands of Iraqis living in neighboring countries, including 100,000 Christians.
He hoped that the team members in charge of this census follow accuracy, honesty and integrity in giving correct information.
On 20th and 21st November, a population census across Iraq is to be conducted.
