Syriac company Izla Tours bus targeted by missile while transferring residents from Holeb (Aleppo), Syria, injuring the driver’s assistant

HOLEB, Syria — A passenger tour bus operated by Syriac company Izla Tours, which transferred residents from Holeb (Aleppo) to North and East Syria, was targeted by a missile, injuring the driver’s assistant, Syriac Press correspondent in Holeb reported.

According to our correspondent, the passenger tour bus was on its way to the regions of North and East Syria when it was targeted east of Holeb near the Manara station.

They added that the rest of the passengers were unharmed. However, while they were trying to escape from artillery shelling in the area, they were targeted by sniper fire of unknown origin.

Our correspondent pointed out that after the targeting, the Syriac Monastery of Mor Afrem, which is the headquarters of the Syriac Orthodox Archdiocese of Holeb, sent vehicles to the location of the incident and safely transferred the passengers from the area to a church in Holeb.

Earlier, the Izla Company has allocated a number of trips to transfer the residents of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) who were stuck in Holeb back to their homes.

DAARNES has directed its concerned institutions to facilitate the passage of its residents coming from Holeb following the recent and quickly expanding offensive by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA).

In addition, the DAARNES announced the reception of approximately 3,000 people from its residents coming from Holeb, including approximately 2,000 students.

Holeb has seen mass displacement of civilians since Friday, after HTS elements stormed the city, amid a major escape of regime elements and complete absence of the Syrian regime’s Air Force and Russian forces.
