Syriac Military Council announces martyrdom of three fighters in Turkish bombardment of Tel Tamr, North and East Syria

TEL TAMR, North and East Syria — The Turkish Army and its Syrian National Army (SNA) proxies continue their aggressive bombardment in North and East Syria, causing casualties among civilians and military forces and damage of civilian infrastructure. On Monday, as a result of Turkish attacks on the village of Aliya near Tel Tamr in the Khabur River Valley, the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS) announced the martyrdom of three of its fighters.

“In this historic stage of transition and challenge for our beloved homeland, the MFS remains steadfast in its duty to protect the people and borders from all threats,” the Council stated. A founding organization of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the MFS works alongside other ethnic and regional components to defend against attacks.

The Council condemned Turkey’s persistent targeting of Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) areas, including Tel Tamr and the wider Khabur River Valley, in violation of previous agreements. It accused the Turkish occupation of facilitating and supporting extremist groups like the Islamic State (ISIS), which previously occupied the Khabur, committing massacres and displacing its people. The statement also highlighted Turkey’s role in the occupation of regions such as Cafrin (Afrin), Tel Abyad, and Rish Ayno (Ras al-Ayn).

TYhe MFS paid tribute to its fallen fighters — Mohammed Jassim al-Alo (nom de guerre Yakub Hasakah), Ibrahim Talab Salibi (nom de guerre Isa Hasakah), and Ahmed Hamza al-Ali (nom de guerre Isa Hasakah) — who were martyred while performing their duty.

The Council pledged to continue the struggle for freedom, honor the sacrifices of its martyrs, and remain committed to defending the rights and safety of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and other peoples of Syria until victory and freedom is achieved for all.
