European Syriac Union joins Assyrian Federations Union’s 45th anniversary celebration in Germany
HÖVELHOF, Germany — The European Syriac Union (ESU) participated in a commemorative event marking the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Assyrian Federations Union in Germany and Central Europe, held in Hövelhof, Germany.
The event saw a significant gathering of representatives from unions and organizations representing the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
Officials from the Assyrian Federations Union expressed their gratitude for the ESU’s participation, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among institutions advocating for the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community in the diaspora. They also congratulated ESU Co-Chair Manuela Demir on her recent appointment.
Discussions during the celebration addressed critical issues facing the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, including the evolving situation in Syria, the fall of the Syrian regime, and the future of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community in the region.
The event honored several notable Syriac figures for their exceptional contributions to national causes. Attendees also enjoyed musical performances and folk songs that added a festive touch to the occasion.
