SYRIA: Leaders from Valley of Christians and Patriarchate of Assyrian Church of the East call for peace, justice, and unity in public statements

DARAMSUQ / WADI AL-NASARA — The Patriarchate of the Assyrian Church of the East (ACOE) issued a statement addressing the recent upheaval in Syria, describing the events as a transformative moment that will shape the nation’s present and future. The Patriarchate called on all political actors involved in Syria’s developments to prioritize efforts for peace, ensuring equality and justice for all Syrians.

The statement emphasized the importance of maintaining the rule of law and adhering to principles of justice and international law. It also raised prayers for the safety of Syria’s diverse ethnic and religious communities, urging officials to respect every citizen regardless of their religion or background.



The spiritual leaders in Wadi al-Nasara (Valley of Christians) also released a statement rooted in the teachings of love and peace central to the Christian faith.
