Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development finishes distributing agricultural inputs within peasant support project

NORTH AND EAST S YRIA — As part of its humanitarian work to support society groups in North and East Syria, the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development announced completing the distribution of agricultural inputs within the project to support the cultivation of vegetables with plastic tunnels.

The project, which has been ongoing for 3 years, aims to support the peasants in need in areas of North and East Syria.

The project includes the provision of various agricultural inputs, including fertilizers and seeds, drip irrigation tools, in addition to the distribution of agricultural tunnels and greenhouses.

Each batch of the  project support also includes awareness-raising training sessions for peasants, in which agricultural guidance are provided, aimed at improving productivity and addressing the peasants challenges.

Within the framework of the project, fields are inspected and peasants are assisted in addressing their agricultural problems, thus enhancing the sustainability of agricultural activity and achieving self-sufficiency.

The Syriac Cross Organization stressed that the project will continue in the coming years to enhance agricultural development efforts and support agricultural communities in need.
