Iranian lawyers denounce Turkish attacks on North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — 191 Iranian lawyers sent a joint letter to the UN Secretary-General, Human Rights Council and European Union, to send committees to document and end the Turkish violations in North and East Syria, Hawar News Agency reported.
In their letter, the lawyers stated that the Turkish attacks violate international humanitarian laws and cause significant damage, leading to the displacement of thousands of residents.
The lawyers stressed that targeting North and East Syria will lead to a deteriorating situation, expressing their support for the residents of North and East Syria, as an ideal model for fighting terrorism.
Since 8th December, the Turkish forces has been launching violent attacks against North and East Syria especially in the vicinity of the Tishreen Dam and the Qara Qozak Bridge south of Kobani.
