IRAQ: Beth Nahrain Organization for Women visits Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Mosul Mar Benedict Younan Hinno and organizes Christmas event for children in Nineveh Plains
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — In celebration of Christmas and New Year, the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) organized a festive event in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniyah), Iraq, attended by over 150 children from the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community.
The event featured various activities, including a special appearance by Santa Claus, who distributed gifts to the children, spreading joy and holiday cheer.
In addition to the celebration, a BNOW delegation visited Syriac Catholic Archbishop of Mosul Mar Benedict Younan Hinno to extend Christmas and New Year greetings.
The delegation, led by BNOW President Hanan Matti Tuma, her Deputy Ronak Elias Hanna, and other members, presented the Archbishop with a Bible in Western Syriac as a symbolic gift.
