Universal Syriac Union Party visits Assyrian Church of the East Mar Gewargis Church to discuss regional issues and extend holiday greetings

BEIRUT — To mark Christmas and New Years, a delegation from the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) led by USUP President Ibrahim Mrad visited Fr. Ninos Odeh, priest of the Mar Gewargis Church of the Assyrian Church of the East.

The delegation extended their holiday greetings to Father Odeh, who was joined by members of the Parish Committee during the meeting.

Discussions focused on the affairs of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people across the region, with particular attention to their situation in Lebanon.

The two sides also examined recent regional developments and their impact on the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community. Additionally, the USUP delegation briefed Father Odeh on their ongoing activities aimed at advancing the national goals of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people.
