Syriac organization and institutions in North and East Syria extend Christmas and New Year greetings, hope for peace and unity in Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — As the world welcomes 2025, Syriac organizations and institutions in Syria, including the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS), the General Command of the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro), Women’s Sutoro, and the Syriac Progressive Youth Union, shared messages of hope and resilience for the year ahead.

The Syriac Military Council extended heartfelt congratulations to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community, expressing optimism that 2025 would usher in peace and security for the region. The Council reaffirmed its dedication to honoring the legacy of those who sacrificed their lives to protect stability and safety in North and East Syria.



Similarly, the General Command of Sutoro and Women’s Sutoro issued a Christmas and New Year greetings to all Syrians, with a special focus on the diverse populations of North and East Syria. They paid tribute to the families of martyrs and frontline defenders, wishing for a year filled with peace and harmony across the nation.



The Syriac Progressive Youth Union also delivered an inspiring message, calling for unity and mutual respect among Syria’s various communities. The Union expressed hope that 2025 would bring joy, love, and meaningful democratic reforms that ensure equal representation for all. The group emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping a more inclusive and prosperous future for the country.
