Administration of North and East Syria condemns Turkish attack at Tishrin Dam that killed 3 civilians, urges global action
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) issued a strong statement condemning the targeting of civilians by Turkish forces and their proxies in the Syrian National Army (SNA) against civilians in the Tishrin Dam area.
On Wednesday, a Turkish drone carried out an attack at Tishrin Dam resulting in the deaths of three civilians and injuring to 19 others. DAARNES expressed its outrage at the incident in a public statement.
The statement described the targeting of civilians as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a war crime. It accused Turkey of deliberate attacks aimed at breaking the will and resistance of the local population.

DAARNES called on the international community and the US-led International Coalition to fulfil their humanitarian and ethical responsibilities. It demanded immediate intervention to halt Turkey’s escalation and prevent further attacks in North and East Syria, stressing the importance of protecting civilians and infrastructure.
The statement also paid tribute to the resilience of workers at Tishrin Dam and praised the sacrifices of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in resisting Turkish aggression and its mercenaries.
DAARNES reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the people and territories of North and East Syria in the face of continued attacks.
