IRAQ: Beth Nahrain Organization for Women visits Assyrian Women’s Union to discuss increased cooperation
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region of Iraq — With the aim of enhancing cooperation, a delegation from the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) in Iraq visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Women’s Union (AWU) in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).
The BNOW delegation included BNOW Head Hanan Matti Tuma, Women’s Organizational Head Ronak Elias Hanna, and BNOW members Iqbal Elias Altun, Anwar Hadi Hanuna, and Dunia Altun Hanna.
The delegation was received by AWU Deputy Head Marilyn Yusef Daoud, AWU Head in Erbil Branch Najiba Hanania Rauf, and several AWU members.
The two parties exchanged New Year congratulations, hoping that it would be a year through which the aspirations of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people would be achieved, in addition to establishing peace throughout Iraq and the world.
Each party presented its activities and ideas to agree on joint work aimed at serving women, society and the issues of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people.
