Baseera International Organization delegation visits Baghdede Local Committee of Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union Party in Iraq

BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union (HBA) Political Bureau official Samer Shamoun received a delegation from the Baseera International Organization concerned with empowering youth and, especially, visually impaired people. The meeting was held at the local branch office in Baghdede, Nineveh Plains.

Shamoun spoke about the HBA (Huyodo Beth Nahrin Athroyo) struggle to gain full national recognition for the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian identity, by way of uniting the ranks and the word of all the political parties and institutions of the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people.

He declared that one of HBA’s most important policy demands is the establishment of the Nineveh Plain Governorate, as well as building institutions on the basis democratic civil competencies.

He added that these demands can be achieved by raising awareness, especially among the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian youth, against the dominant mentality of the parties in power that exploit the state institutions, especially the security services.

Samer Shamoun pointed out that they focus on youth by involving them in educational workshops to become a conscious generation capable of taking responsibility and creating a decent future.
