Preparatory committee for Syria’s National Dialogue Conference unveils its agenda
DARAMSUQ, Syria — The preparatory committee for Syria’s National Dialogue Conference has released its agenda, describing the event as the first genuine gathering of Syrians in 75 years. The announcement comes just a day after the committee’s formation, marking the beginning of its organizational efforts.
A broad and inclusive dialogue
According to the committee’s statement, the conference will address social, political, economic, and governance issues, aiming to lay a solid foundation for Syria’s future. The vision for this initiative is rooted in national consensus, justice, reform, and inclusivity. The statement emphasized the importance of involving all Syrian society groups, ensuring genuine participation that reflects the country’s diverse social and political landscape. The conference seeks to create a platform that transcends existing divisions and political alignments.
Decisions that reflect public aspirations

In an interview with the state-run SANA news agency, committee spokesperson Hassan Al-Daghim stated that no official date has been set for the conference. He clarified that invitations will not be based on ethnic or political affiliations but rather on a commitment to national unity.
Formation of the preparatory committee
The committee was established following a decree by Syria’s transitional leader, Ahmed Al-Sharaa. It consists of 5 men and 2 women, entrusted with overseeing the conference’s organization and ensuring broad participation across Syria’s political and social spectrum.
