Gozarto Canton delegation returns from frontline visit, discusses stability with Administration of North and East Syria leadership

RAQQA, North and East Syria — A delegation from Gozarto (Jazira) Canton visited the Co-Chairship of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) following their return from the frontlines, where they met with members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

High-Level Discussions on Regional Stability

Led by Vivian Baho Oussi, Co-Chair of the Gozarto Canton Executive Council, the delegation included key officials from the canton’s governing bodies. They were received by the Executive Council Co-Chairs Hussein Osman and Berivan Khalid, along with Yasser Suleiman, Deputy Co-Chair of the Democratic Peoples’ Council.

The meeting highlighted collaborative efforts to bolster security and stability in the region. Discussions focused on enhancing coordination between governing bodies to address ongoing challenges and ensure effective governance.

Returning from the Frontlines

The delegation had recently returned from the frontlines near Tishrin Dam, where they participated in the general mobilization in support of the SDF. Oussi emphasized their dedication to the region’s defense and their solidarity with the SDF in combating emerging threats.

Osman and Khalid expressed the Executive Council’s appreciation for the delegation’s efforts and reiterated its commitment to supporting the SDF, recognizing its vital role in safeguarding civilians and maintaining regional stability.
