SYRIA: Armenian Churches in Holeb (Aleppo) pray for Christian unity

HOLEB, Syria — On Monday, the Beth-El (Bethel, House of God) Armenian Protestant Church in Holeb (Aleppo), Syria, hosted a heartfelt prayer service dedicated to Christian unity.

The spiritual event was attended by prominent leaders of the Armenian community, including clergy and priests, along with a large congregation of worshippers.

The prayer service was presided over by key figures in the Armenian Christian community, including Armenian Orthodox Archbishop of Holeb and its Environs Magar Ashkarian, Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Holeb and its Environs Boutros Marayati, and Rev. Father Haroutioun Salimian

The service began with the Lord’s Prayer, led by students from the Hayat Educational Institution for Armenian Protestants. The ceremony also featured hymns and spiritual meditations rooted in Armenian church traditions.

Each Church leader shared reflections on Christ’s call for unity and solidarity among Christians. They emphasized the vital role of the Church in promoting a spirit of brotherhood and collaboration, affirming that diversity within the Christian faith enriches and strengthens its community.
