Bethnahrin National Council institutions in Syria mourn the martyrdom of Hawro İzla

BETH ZALIN, North and East Syria — Several prominent Syriac organizations in Syria, including the Syriac Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe Suryoye b’Suriya, HNSS), the Syriac Union Party (SUP), and the Syriac Progressive Youth Union, expressed their deepest condolences on the passing of Hawro (Comrade) İzla Neriman Özgun, a member of the Presidential Committee of the Beth Nahrain National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), She passed away after a long battle with illness, leaving behind a legacy of relentless advocacy for her people’s rights.

Champion of Women’s Empowerment

The HNSS paid tribute to Hawro İzla lifelong dedication to the empowerment of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, particularly women.
