Lebanese Forces and Syriac Union Party officials reaffirm electoral alliance in Zahle, Lebanon

ZAHLE, Lebanon — In continuation of their long-standing alliance, the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) and Lebanese Forces party held a meeting at the latter’s Zahle Coordination Office to discuss electoral cooperation and national sovereignty efforts. The meeting followed earlier discussions between head of Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea and head of the USUP Ibrahim Mrad, reaffirming their commitment to joint political action.

During the meeting, Lebanese Forces Coordinator Alan Mounayer and USUP Secretary-General Michel Mallo emphasized the strong alliance between the two parties in the region. Mallo reiterated the USUP’s support for the Lebanese Forces electoral list and its allied sovereign parties, which include a Syriac candidate for Zahle’s municipal elections.

Mallo further stressed the importance of increasing Syriac representation within the Lebanese Forces’ candidate list. He recalled previous discussions with Geagea and Mrad, where both leaders affirmed their shared vision of serving the Lebanese people and protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty over its entire territory.
