Two injured in knife attack during Kha Nison–Akitu 6775 celebration in Nohadra (Duhok), Rudaw reports

NOHADRA and ARBA’ILO, Kurdistan Region in Iraq — According to news agency Rudaw, a man and a woman have been injured in a knife attack during today’s celebration of Kha Nison–Akitu 6775 in the city of Nohadra (Duhok), Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

Rudaw’s reporter on the ground reports that local health officials have confirmed that the condition of the woman is unstable.

The motives behind the attack are still unclear, but local security source told Rudaw that the attacker was arrested shortly after the assault.
