Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian political parties host Federation of Assyrian American Associations
AMKABAD, ARBCA’ILO (ERBIL), Kurdistan Region of Iraq — The Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian political parties in Iraq received a delegation from the Federation of Assyrian American Associations at the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Movement (Zowaa) in Amkabad, Ankawa. The meeting included representatives from the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA), Assyrian Democratic Movement (Zowaa), Bet-Nahrain Democratic Party, and the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian Popular Council.
Discussions focused on the current situation of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in their homeland Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia) and ongoing collaborative efforts among active national parties. The need to unify political rhetoric, demands, and policy stances were also among topics of discussions.
They also addressed the role of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community in the diaspora, particularly in the United States, in supporting their people’s struggle in the homeland to secure their legitimate rights. The meeting emphasized the importance of coordination, consultation, and the exchange of perspectives between the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian communities in their homeland and abroad.
