Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu: We will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons

TEL AVIV / TEHRAN — Amid recent developments regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Netanyahu stated that Israel will never allow Iran to possess nuclear arms, a stance he has repeatedly affirmed in the past.

His office added that Netanyahu has led numerous overt and covert operations to counter Iran’s nuclear program, claiming that without these efforts, Iran would already have a nuclear arsenal today. These operations reportedly delayed Iran’s nuclear progress by nearly a decade.

Meanwhile, President Trump is pushing for a new nuclear agreement with Iran. U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is set to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Rome, following high-level talks last week, the most significant since the collapse of the 2015 nuclear deal.
