LEBANON: Rola Hanna nominated for municipal seat in Jdeideh-Bouchrieh-El-Sidd municipality
BEIRUT — The Syriac Union Party in Lebanon has officially nominated Rola Jean Hanna for a municipal seat in the Jdeideh-Bouchrieh-El-Sidd Municipality, as part of its strategic alliance with the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb Party.
With municipal elections in Lebanon set for May 4, political alliances are intensifying across the country. Among the competing lists is that of lawyer August Bakhos, which features candidates from diverse parties. The Syriac Union Party has reaffirmed its commitment to the elections in the Metn District, particularly in Jdeideh-Bouchrieh-El-Sidd, the district’s capital.
Rola Jean Hanna, a dedicated advocate for community development, brings a wealth of experience to her candidacy. Known for her active involvement in local initiatives and her commitment to representing Syriac voices, Hanna’s nomination reflects the Syriac Union Party’s strategy to strengthen its influence in local governance.
The party has also announced the re-nomination of Layla Latty, Vice-President of the Syriac Union Party, for the Mukhtar seat in Sadd Bouchrieh, alongside Hanna for the municipal seat. These nominations underscore the party’s efforts to bolster its presence through alliances with established political groups and key families in the region.
To mark this milestone, the Syriac Union Party plans to unveil its electoral list during a celebratory event scheduled for Saturday at 5 PM, signaling a significant step in its campaign efforts and commitment to community representation.
