After keeping Syria glued to the radio, Syriac radio station Suroyo FM goes global with new online radio station

ZALIN (Qamishli), North and East Syria – After launching its new online station today, Syriac radio station Suroyo FM has the world at its feet. Five years after its successful establishment, Suroyo FM has taken another leap. With the launch of its new online radio station, radio hosts Samer, a local radio celebrity, and Milad, the bass voice of Zalin, can now be listened to all over the world. Based in Zalin (Qamishli), Suroyo FM radio is a regional radio station for the entire Gozarto (Jazeera) region in North and East Syria. It airs on frequency 95.5 FM. The station broadcasts in the eastern dialects of the Syriac language, but also in Arabic, Armenian, Kurdish, and English.

Suroyo FM broadcasts cultural, medical, musical, and political programs 24 hours a day. Within its 5-year existence, the station has been very successful, reaching a large and varied audience with broad resonance.

With the launch of the online radio, Suroyo FM is better equipped to proclaim the free voice of the Syriac people in the wider homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia) and the rest of the world.
