Easter Tributes to Families of Syrian-Assyrian Martyrs
HASAKAH, North and East Syria — The Syriac–Assyrian Martyrs’ Families Foundation in Hasakah marked Easter with heartfelt visits to the families of martyrs from Hasakah and Zalin (Qamishli), paying tribute to their loved ones who sacrificed for their homeland.
Coordinated with institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), the visits underscored Easter’s themes of renewal, unity, and compassion, reflecting the enduring values within the community. Delegates expressed profound gratitude for the martyrs’ courage and the dedication of military forces safeguarding the nation.
The delegation, led by Armin Mardo, co-chair of the foundation, included Yakoub Hanna, Badira Shamoun, Jennifer Malko, Miral Gross, George Moussa of the martyrs’ department of the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS), and Adnan Eliya, head of Sutoro’s internal and external relations.
Families warmly welcomed the initiative, sharing their hopes for peace and stability across Syria and expressing appreciation for the foundation’s unwavering support.
