Syrian Democratic Forces mourn loss of five fighters in Islamic State attacks in Dayro Zcuro

DAYRO ZCURO, North and East Syria — The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reported the deaths of five fighters in a series of coordinated terrorist attacks carried out by Islamic State (ISIS) militants in rural areas of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor). The SDF statement underscores the escalating threat posed by ISIS and ongoing efforts to stabilize the volatile region.

The attacks targeted two separate locations: a military post in the village of Harzat in western Dayro Zcuro and a military vehicle in the eastern countryside near the village of Thiban.
