Assyrian Church of the East dedicates new Mart Shmoni and Her Seven Sons Church in Norrköping, Sweden
NORRKÖPING, Sweden — Last Friday marked the official opening of the Mart Shmoni and Her Seven Sons Church of the Assyrian Church of the East in Norrköping, Sweden. Archbishop Mar Odisho Oraham, Metropolitan of Sweden, Scandinavia, and Germany, led the ceremony, joined by clergy and representatives from various Christian Churches in the city.
The ceremony featured celebratory speeches by church council officials Yaqoub Shenko and Daniel Youkhana, as well as the parish priest, Fr. Ephrem Isaac. Fr. Ephrem highlighted his efforts to preserve the authentic Oriental Orthodox character of the new church.
