X account of Syriac Military Council blocked for users inside Turkey
ANKARA — The X, formerly Twitter, account of the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS) has been restricted today for users of the media platform in Turkey.
When entering the X account of the Syriac Military Council, the platform indicates that “Access is blocked for @syriacmfs.” It further states that the account is “closed due to a legal demand, within the borders of Turkey.”
The reason for the restriction is unknown. In its rules and policies, the media platform says that it is compelled to withhold a account specified in response to a legal demand, such as a court order. It is unknown what the legal reason is for blocking the Syriac Military Council’s X account, and who filed it. There is yet no official statement issued.
Outside of Turkey, the MFS account remains accessible.
