Syriac Union Party meets Armenian Catholic Archbishop in Daramsuq to discuss unity and Christian affairs

DARAMSUQ — A delegation from the Syriac Union Party (Gabo d’uyodo Suryoyo, SUP) visited the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese in Daramsuq (Damascus) and met with Patriarchal Vicar Archbishop George Assadourian. 

The delegation was led by SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsom head of the SUP Public Relations Office Aphram Ishaq. 

The meeting focused on the general situation in Syria, with a particular emphasis on the challenges facing Christians amidst the country’s ongoing developments and transformations. 

The visit is part of the SUP’s broader efforts to strengthen relations with various organizations, institutions, and churches. The party is seeking to foster unity among the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and the Christian community at large, as they navigate the current challenges confronting Syria.
