FC Turabdin-Babylon earns promotion to Hessenliga, fifth tier of German football

POLHEIM, Germany — FC Turabdin-Babylon, a football club rooted in the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community and based in Pohlheim-Giessen, Germany, achieved a historic milestone by securing promotion from Verbandsliga Hessen-Mitte, the sixth tier of German football, to the fifth tier Hessenliga.

The team earned 71 points this season, a testament to their hard work and consistent performance. Club president Aziz Kartal lauded the collective efforts of players and staff, attributing the accomplishment to teamwork, discipline, and meticulous planning.

Throughout the season, which spanned from October to May, FC Turabdin-Babylon impressed with their disciplined play, physical fitness, and adherence to both cultural values and sporting excellence.
