DARAMSUQ (Damascus), Syria — Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II welcomed Jessica Svärdström, Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy, to the Patriarchate’s headquarters in Bab Tuma, Daramsuq (Damascus).

Their discussion focused on the current situation in Syria, recent developments, and the challenges faced by Syrians during this critical period.

The meeting was also attended by Patriarchal Secretary Mor Augeen al-Khoury Nemat, emphasizing the Patriarchate’s ongoing role in facilitating dialogue between Christian communities and international stakeholders.
