Bethnahrin National Council to mark 25 years of advocacy with Silver Jubilee Celebration
BETH NAHRIN — The Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo d’Bethnahrin, MUB), which has long championed the rights and freedoms of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, is gearing up to celebrate its Silver Jubilee. The festivities will be held in collaboration with various political, religious, and cultural organizations from the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community in Germany.
For the past 25 years, the MUB has worked tirelessly to unite the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) diaspora, strengthen ties with the ancestral homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia), and advocate for the rights of its people.
In addition to encouraging the return of Syriacs (Arameans–Assyrians–Chaldeans) to their homeland, the MUB has played a pivotal role in establishing the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS), gaining recognition as a political entity, and transforming into a broader umbrella organization for Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) causes. Over the years, it has also founded numerous institutions across various sectors to support the Syriac community.
To honor these achievements, a Silver Jubilee Celebration will take place on Sunday, 8 June, with representatives from political parties and organizations in attendance. The event will feature speeches, poetry readings, and musical performances to celebrate the rich heritage and continued resilience of the Syriac people.
