Syriac Security Forces: We will stand against anyone seeking to spread terror

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Following the terrorist attack that targeted the Greek (Rûm) Orthodox Church of Mar Elias in Daramsuq (Damascus) during Sunday Mass, First Lieutenant of the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) William Issa stated that the Sutoro and Sutoro Women forces in North and East Syria swiftly deployed around all churches in the area to prevent any further terrorist acts.

First Lieutenant Issa extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded.

He also emphasized the necessity of protecting Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and standing against anyone who seeks to spread terror and destabilize the region.

On Tuesday, the Sutoro and Sutoro Women forces announced that their officers and personnel would conduct widespread deployments around all churches in North and East Syria.
