Syriac Cross launches assistance campaign for victims of Mar Elias Church attack

DARAMSUQ — Syriac civil society organizations focused on aiding vulnerable communities have launched a relief campaign to support the families of victims and those injured in the terrorist attack of Mar Elias Church in Daramsuq (Damascus).

In the aftermath of the bombing, which left numerous casualties and caused severe damage to the church, relief efforts have been swiftly mobilized to address the physical and psychological devastation.

The Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development and Stichting Schlomo, in coordination with their European branches, have spearheaded a fundraising campaign aimed at providing comprehensive aid. This includes medical assistance for the injured, psychological support for grieving families, financial relief for victims’ relatives, and reconstruction efforts to restore the damaged church.

To facilitate contributions, the organizations have shared bank details and appealed for urgent support, calling on donors to “act swiftly to donate and stand for life and hope.”
