Women’s Internal Security Forces celebrate 11th anniversary
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Yesterday, Monday, June 30th, marked the 11th anniversary of the founding of the Women’s Internal Security Forces in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES). The Forces commemorated the occasion with an event attended by commanders from the forces and representatives of the DAARNES from various regions.
The event began with a moment of silence in reverence and respect for the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to protect the security and stability of the region, followed by an impressive military parade by the forces.
The event also included several speeches, among them a speech by a member of the Kongreya Star Coordination, Gulistan Kilo, who highlighted the pivotal role played by the Women’s Internal Security Forces in maintaining community security, combating crime, drugs, and terrorism, and consolidating the values of justice and equality across the different areas of North and East Syria.
Gulistan Kilo also emphasized in her speech the importance of women’s struggle within the ranks of the Women’s Internal Security Forces and the achievements they have made over the past years despite security and political challenges. She stressed that this anniversary represents an occasion to renew the commitment to continue security work and to develop the institution’s performance in a way that enhances the security and stability of society.
