Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian student qualifies for Chemistry Olympiad Finals in Dubai

NINEVEH PLAINS, Iraq — Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian student Georges Alaa Georges from the Gifted Students School in Nineveh will be representing Iraq in the finals of the upcoming Chemistry Olympiad held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Georges successfully passed the gifted and talented exams, securing first place among gifted students at schools in Nineveh and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

It marks Iraq’s first-ever participation in the international event, where teams of 4 students from schools for gifted and talented individuals compete. The 57th International Chemistry Olympiad in Dubai brings together 360 participants from 90 countries. 

The Gifted Students School in Nineveh celebrated Georges, a fourth-grade preparatory student, for qualifying to represent the Iraqi national team in the International Chemistry Olympiad.
