Gozarto Women’s Coordination visits Syriac Women’s Union and congratulates on successful Global Sureyto Women’s Conference
Beth ZALIN, North and East Syria — In a gesture reflecting solidarity and joint women’s action, the Women’s Coordination in Gozarto (Jazira) Canton visited the headquarters of the Syriac Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe Suryoye b’Suriya, HNSS) in Beth Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, to offer congratulations on the successful organization of the 2025 Global Sureyto Women’s Conference.
The delegation was received by members of the Beth Zalin HNSS administrative board, who expressed their pride in the visit, which they said reflects the depth of the relationship and coordination between women’s organizations in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES).
During the meeting, both sides exchanged congratulations on the success of the conference, which marked an important milestone in the struggle of Syriac and other women of all denominations, shedding light on their just causes and those of their people, while also unifying their national and feminist discourse.
Members of the Women’s Coordination affirmed that the Syriac Women’s Conference served as a source of inspiration for women across DAARNES, and indeed across Syria, due to the intellectual and organizational proposals it presented — expressing the will of free women and reflecting their presence in political, social, and cultural arenas.
Participants also emphasized the importance of expanding the horizons of joint women’s work in ways that benefit all women and communities in the region and further strengthen the achievements and struggles of women in pursuit of freedom, justice, and equality.
