Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian girls top Alqosh High School in Iraq’s 2024–2025 secondary exams
ALQOSH, Iraq — With the announcement of Iraq’s secondary exam results, two Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian students earned top honors at Alqosh Girls’ High School.
Mirel Haitham Sadiq al-Juhouri claimed first place among all Alqosh schools, scoring 100.67 in the scientific stream of the general secondary exams (first round) for the 2024–2025 academic year.
Mirel had also previously distinguished herself by securing second place in the Tel Keif district and first place in Alqosh during the intermediate school exams for the 2020–2021 academic year, under the Tel Keif Education Department.
Fellow student Nahrin Sabah Mikhail Barkho earned second place at Alqosh High School, with an adjusted score of 66.5 in the literary stream of this year’s first-round exams.
This success is not the final destination, but the beginning of greater hopes and higher ambitions — the fruit of a bright and promising future.
