North and East Syria graduates fourth Internal Security Forces officer training class amid regional security push
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The General Command of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) celebrated the graduation of its fourth officer training class on Thursday.
The graduating cohort, named the Martyrs of Kojarat, was honored during a formal ceremony attended by senior DAARNES officials, including Co-Chair of the North and East Syria People’s Council Siham Quryo and Deputy Co-Chair of the DAARNES Executive Council Gabriel Shamoun.
The six-month intensive training program involved 102 male and female officers from various parts of the region. The curriculum combined political and ideological instruction with advanced military training, aimed at preparing participants for leadership roles within the Internal Security Forces. Officers of the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) that were promoted are Athro Lahdo to Lieutenant General, William Issa to Lieutenant Colonel, and Amer Bahhe and Ward Gorgis to Major.
Key speeches were delivered by Co-Chair of the DAARNES Executive Council Hussein Othman, along with representatives from the ISF Command, the Social Justice Council, and the Martyrs’ Families Council. Officials praised the graduates for their discipline and commitment, underscoring the ISF’s essential role in preserving regional security and ensuring civil order.
