CENTCOM forces kill senior Islamic State leader in Holeb (Aleppo)

AL-BAB/HOLEB, Syria — U.S. Central Command forces killed senior Islamic State (ISIS) leader Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani and his two adult sons on Friday morning. The two sons, Abdallah Dhiya al-Hardani and Abd al-Rahman Dhiya Zawba al-Hardani, are also reportedly affiliated with the terrorist organization. The military operation took place in al-Bab in the Holeb (Aleppo) Governate, northern Syria. 

CENTCOM, via its X-account, stated that it “will continue to relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever they are. ISIS terrorists are not safe where they sleep, where they operate, and where they hide. Alongside our partners and allies, U.S. Central Command is committed to the enduring defeat of ISIS terrorists that threaten the region, our allies, and our homeland,” said General Michael Erik Kurilla, U.S. Central Command Commander.
