Syrian Democratic Forces Repel Attack on Positions in al-Imam Village
AL-IMAM, DEIR HAFER, North and East Syria — Factions affiliated with the Syrian Government launched an attack on Monday morning on four positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the village of al-Imam, Deir Hafer area, the SDF Media Center reports.
According to the SDF statement, SDF forces confronted the attack and responded in defense of SDF positions and fighters. Clashes ensued and continued for 20 minutes.
“We emphasize that this repeated aggression constitutes a deliberate escalation and poses a serious threat to the stability of the region. We hold the Damascus government fully responsible for this behavior, and reaffirm that our forces are now more prepared than ever to exercise their legitimate right to respond with full force and determination,” the SDF concluded.
