Syriac Women’s Union in North and East Syria commemorate martyrs of Bethnahrin National Council

ZALIN, Syria — On 10 October, the day on which the Bethnahrin National Council (MUB) commemorates its martyrs, member of the Syriac Women’s Union (SWU) in Zalin (Qamishli) Sabah Shabo noted that they had set up a program for the day to visit the families of martyrs and the cemetery of our Muslim brothers. The SWU laid flowers and lit candles on the graves of the dead to offer their appreciation and glorification for those who had sacrificed their lives for the Syriac people (Arameans-Chaldeans–Assyrians).

Sabah Shabo added that during the commemoration, representative Robel Baho delivered a speech on behalf of MUB in which he praised the resistance of the martyrs of the MUB and the martyrs of the the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) and Syriac Military Council (MFS). The MFS is mobilized in Tel Tamr, Khabur Valley.

Shabo pointed out that, like all MUB members and organizations, they as Syriac Women’s Union promise all martyrs of Beth Nahrin that they will follow the path they laid out in the struggle for the survival of the Syriac people and to secure their constitutional rights in their homelands of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia).
