Second year of Beth Nahrin Football League concludes in Hasakah in North and East Syria

HASAKAH, Syria — With the conclusion of the latest Beth Nahrin Football League, SuroyoTV interviewed Sobhi Malki, an official with the Syriac Progressive Youth Union in Syria, talked about the Union’s role in organizing the league and the results of the competition.

This is the second year of the league which was held with the participation of Al-Nasera Club, Domino Club, Syriac Cross Club, Syriac Youth Club, the Syriac Academy of Syria, and others.

Malki added that the first match was held on 29 September with the final match held in conjunction with the celebration of the martyrs of the Bethnahrin National Council (MUB) on 10 October.

The final match was played between Al-Nasera and Syriac Cross with Syriac Cross emerging the victor.

“This league is held at the end of the summer each year and aims to develop the sports activities of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people,” Malki said.
