NORTH AND EAST SYRIA: Al-Hol camp – Two Yazidi women held by ISIS families liberated

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA – The director of the Office for the Rescue of Abducted Yazidis in Iraq announced the liberation of two Yazidi girls kidnapped by the families of  ISIS members in Syria. Director Hussein Qaidi announced in a press release that the two girls – age 15 and 20 – had been liberated from al-Hol camp after investigative work by Syrian search teams of the Office. The search for other abductees is ongoing.

The Office for the Rescue of Abducted Yazidis, which is affiliated with the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, is the main official body the United Nations relies on for its statistics on abducted Yazidis.
