Turkish occupation bombards villages of Mabbug in North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — From their bases in the villages of Sheikh Nasser and Yashli, Turkey and the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) targeted the villages of Yanli, Um Adasa, and Jabalat Sayada northwest of Mabbug (Manbij) in North and East Syria with heavy weapons and mortars.
According to the Manbij Military Council (MMC), more than 30 rocket and artillery shells landed on the targeted villages, causing material damage.
The shelling coincided with fierce clashes between the MMC and SNA along the frontline outside Mabbug.
Turkey continues to attack areas across North and East Syria despite two separate ceasefires.
On Monday evening, the Syriac Military Council (Mawthbo Folhoyo Suryoyo, MFS) confirmed to SyriacPress that their forces positioned around Tel Tamr thwarted an infiltration attempt by the SNA on the Syriac–Assyrian village of Timar (Umm al-Kayf). At the time, it was unclear if there were any casualties among the attackers.
